Library is the heart of any  Educational Institute. It is the place where we get knowledge and wisdom.

K. V.Umroi Cantt. Library is serving as the center of information for the School and provides easy access to national and global knowledge to all staff and students. Library is fully automated & powered by E granthalaya library automation software.

Inside the Library there is  a  digital library of NCERT and other ebooks. This Digital Library is developed using Green stone digital library software.

The collections of the Library include more than 7000 cataloged books and other print materials in Hindi, English and Sanskrit languages on various subjects.

The Library is subscribing 5 Newspapers and 25 Magazines and other Digital Material CDs/DVDs/Audio Cassettes and Reference Books.

Technically Books are classified with colon classification scheme and online public access catalogue is available for the users.

The library is open to all students and teachers of school. Any one may enter the reading rooms and access the collection.

Objectives: 

The objectives of the library is to:

• Be the knowledge hub of the school and disseminate knowledge as widely as possible.
• Facilitate creation of new knowledge.
• Facilitate optimal use of knowledge by all staff and students.
• Ensure easy access to the facilities available to all staff and students.
• Encourage and foster reading habit among staff and students.
• Effectively participate in the teaching-learning programmes of the school.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, popularly known as KVS, originally set up as a registered society on 15th December, 1965 under the Societies Registration Act (XXI) of 1860, is an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, fully financed by the Government of India.There are 1000 of Kendriya Vidyalyas located in India including three abroad being run by the KVS from its Headquarters at New Delhi and 18 Regional Offices spread all over India.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Umroi Cantt. is 12 km. away from barapani lake. The Vidyalaya is single section school around 500 children, with both science and arts stream in xi and xii.

KV Umroi Cantt. is a Defence Sector segment of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan New Delhi, Under the Ministry of Human Resource & Development, Govt. of India. Spawning in an arcade of 10 Acres it houses classes I to XII with Science & Arts stream at +2 level. This K. V.  is providing academic as well as other curricular training in various fields.

Our Vidyalaya is functioning in its  own new building since June 2006, Students from different categories are enrolled each year, in the Vidyalaya, from the surrounding areas to get benefits and proper personality growth, from this blooming Vidyalaya.Presently The VIdyalaya is Having a A1 Type Buliding of its Own in Umroi Military Station.
